Behind The Beast in Me

Lucy Goffin, founder of The Beast in Me Art

The Beast in Me Art began with a simple idea: wildlife art should make you feel something.

I wanted to create work that captured more than the appearance of an animal. The expression, the eyes and the world around it all have a story to tell.

That idea developed into The Beast in Me Art and, ultimately, the Through Their Eyes collection.

Each piece is created to sit somewhere between wildlife portraiture and storytelling. Some celebrate the extraordinary character of an animal. Others explore the pressures facing wildlife in a rapidly changing world.

The aim is not simply to create something beautiful for a wall.

It is to create something you stop and look at.

Something that starts a conversation.

And sometimes, something that makes us think differently about the animals we share this planet with.

The Beast in Me Art — developing artwork and preparing prints for production

From concept to print

Behind every piece is a process of developing concepts, creating imagery, reviewing artwork, researching the conservation story behind it, and working closely with specialist print production to check quality before it reaches your wall.
