Vanishing Kingdom — Tiger

The Story Behind the Artwork

A tiger’s range was never meant to be small. Historically, a single animal might move across territory too large for any one creature to fully occupy at once. What’s left now is often a fraction of that — forest cut into fragments, corridors closed, territory redrawn by boundaries the tiger never agreed to. This piece sits with that contradiction: an animal built for vastness, held inside a frame that keeps closing in. The title isn’t nostalgic. It isn’t mourning a kingdom that’s already gone — it’s naming one that’s still vanishing, present tense, while there’s still something left to lose. The tiger’s expression carries none of the theatre wildlife imagery often reaches for. It’s watchful, unhurried, faintly proprietary — an animal that still, for now, understands where the edges of its world used to be.

5% of every sale from the Through Their Eyes collection supports wildlife conservation — set aside and donated annually at year end.
